Our cottages and cabins are located on breathtaking Lac Nilgaut. The lake is apx. 10kms long by 2.25kms wide; hosting spectacular lake trout . Wildlife abounds in the area; big game consists of moose, black bear and whitetail deer. Other wildlife of the Outaouais are timber wolf, lynx, red fox, beaver, mink, martin and otters. Many birds also call the Outaouais home; ducks, loons, kingfishers and bald eagles to mention a few.
Within a few hours of Canada’s capital, Ottawa, our guests can enjoy nature at its best. Its hard to believe you can find such pristine wilderness so close to cities. We look forward to sharing Dorion Outfitter with you.
Dorion outfitter is blessed with beautiful Lake Trout fishery. Known as a number’s lake, it produces many Lake Trout in the one to four pound range with fish over 20 pounds being caught annually.
Dorion Outfitter offers comfortable rustic-style cabins including: wood heating, electricity, hot and cold running water, stove, refrigerator, kitchen accessories and so on. All our cabins have a magnificent view of the lake and the sunsets. Our fully equipped cabins can accommodate 2 to 8 people.
The DorionOutfitter team, under the supervision of Pete and Mike Dorion new owner since 2023, has brought together everything necessary to make your trip successful and at its best. The objective and all actions are put in place to provide an excellent stay for each customer.
